(Dunya News) - Severe rainfall has significantly disrupted flight operations between Dubai and Pakistan, leading to the cancellation of 18 flights and delays affecting dozens of others.

Airport sources confirmed that due to adverse weather conditions, flights operating between Pakistan’s major airports and Dubai and Sharjah were heavily impacted. In total, 18 flights were cancelled, while 67 arrivals and departures at various airports across the country faced delays.

Among the cancelled flights were two foreign airline flights operating between Dubai and Karachi. Two flights from Faisalabad to Dubai were also cancelled. Lahore witnessed the cancellation of three Dubai-bound flights, while six flights from Peshawar to Dubai were grounded. Additionally, two Islamabad–Dubai flights were cancelled due to operational disruptions caused by the heavy rain.

Flight schedules further revealed widespread delays at several airports. Lahore reported delays to 16 incoming and outgoing flights, Karachi faced disruptions to 12 flights, while Islamabad recorded delays affecting 21 flights.

Apart from rain-related issues, dense fog added to travel woes in other parts of the country. At Multan Airport, eight flights experienced delayed arrivals and departures due to foggy conditions. Similarly, two flights each at Sialkot, Skardu, and Quetta airports were delayed, while Peshawar reported delays to four flights.

Passengers have been advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines for updated flight information before heading to airports, as weather conditions may continue to affect flight operations.
