FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – At least two labourers were killed when fire broke out in a cotton factory located at the Sargodha Road in Faisalabad on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, 40 labourers were working inside the factory when fire erupted, out of which 37 managed to escape safely while three were trapped inside the factory building.
Fire brigade and rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort. Rescue teams have retrieved dead bodies of two labourers from the building while search was on to find the third body.
According to sources, the deceased labourers were identified as 26-year-old Jameel and 46-year-old Asghar. The missing labourers was identified as Adnan. Rescue teams have shifted the dead bodies to hospital.
According to sources, the fire completely destroyed the factory building while machinery and cotton worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes.
