Nawaz Sharif used to have 600 meetings in jail every month: Mohammad Zubair

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former Governor of Sindh and former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mohammad Zubair on Thursday said that Nawaz Sharif used to have 600 meetings in jail every month, and after those meetings we [the party leaders] used to issue political statements outside the jail.

While speaking on the programme “Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath,” former PML-N leader Mohammad Zubair said that Nawaz Sharif had political meetings in jail, while meetings with lawyers were held separately. At that time, there were no restrictions even on their political statements.

Mohammad Zubair added that why they are afraid of the political discussions, why they say no political discussions should not take place outside the jail? After meeting a political leader, political discussion is bound to happen. If they think that this will reduce the popularity of the PTI founder, it will not happen.
