ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Police have arrested an Afghan national for possessing a fake American Embassy identification card in the federal capital.
According to police sources, the suspect, identified as Haris, entered the Diplomatic Enclave in a Corolla car along with two women using the forged embassy card. Law enforcement and intelligence agencies had already identified the suspect, who was wanted in multiple fraud cases.
Sources said the American Embassy had also lodged a complaint regarding the individual. The arrested Afghan national was shifted to Secretariat Police Station for further legal action.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to fraudulently acquiring mobile phones from citizens and selling them. A fake American Embassy card was also recovered from his possession. Investigations are underway.
