At least 8 die as dense fog triggers deadly road accidents across Punjab, Sindh

Dense fog caused multiple road accidents in Punjab and Sindh, killing eight people and injuring dozens as buses and vehicles collided or overturned due to poor visibility.

SADIQABAD/HYDERABAD/JHANG (Dunya News) – At least eight people were killed and several others injured in multiple traffic accidents across different cities due to dense fog.

In Jhang, a passenger bus heading to Quetta collided with a tractor-trolley, killing one passenger and injuring four others.

In Uch Sharif, a collision between a bus and a trailer claimed the lives of a woman and a child, while three people were injured. In Liaquatpur, a car plunged into a ditch due to fog, injuring two people, including a two-year-old child.

In Sadiqabad, a sugar mills bus overturned amid heavy fog, resulting in three deaths and more than 15 injuries.

On the Jamshoro Indus Highway, a passenger coach collided with a Suzuki pickup, killing two people, including a woman, and injuring 20 others.

Rescue officials said the bodies and injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, adding that overspeeding amid poor visibility caused the accidents.
