LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - A local court in Lahore, while hearing a petition regarding the custody (superdari) of social media accounts and ATM cards of YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, also known as Ducky Bhai, directed him to submit an affidavit.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Watto heard the petition filed by YouTuber Ducky Bhai, in which the accused sought the return of his belongings.
During the hearing, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) submitted its report regarding the custody request. Counsel for the NCCIA informed the court that all items related to the superdari are currently in the custody of the NCCIA.
Earlier, the NCCIA had once again requested additional time from the court to submit its report regarding YouTuber Ducky Bhai’s application seeking the return of his social media accounts and ATM cards.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Watto had heard the petition filed by Ducky Bhai for the custody of his seized digital assets. During the proceedings, the NCCIA’s counsel informed the court that the investigating officer was currently in Islamabad and that the case file had not yet been returned.
The counsel stated that Shoaib Riaz has still not handed back the investigation file. The judge then asked Ducky Bhai’s lawyer how his client operated his YouTube channel. In response, the lawyer explained, “Sir, the main account is with the NCCIA. The account currently in question is only the editor account.”
Ducky Bhai’s lawyer further argued that since this was custody application, all electronic devices—including mobile phones—were already in NCCIA’s possession. Therefore, his client’s four credit cards and the seized cash should also be returned.
Accepting the NCCIA’s request for additional time, the court ordered the agency to submit the report by 15 December and adjourned the hearing.
The case is part of an ongoing investigation in which the NCCIA has already registered an FIR against the accused.
