LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the provincial government aims to strengthen ties with Dutch universities and promote joint research programmes.
CM Maryam Nawaz met the Netherlands ambassador, Robert Jan Siggers, where both sides agreed to enhance Dutch cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, higher education institutions, technical training, water management, education, and research. Several other matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
Maryam Nawaz extended her best wishes to the ambassador on his recent appointment and said that Dutch partnership could bring a major breakthrough in improving potato yield.
She added that the presence of Dutch companies in Pakistan boosts investors’ confidence, noting that relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands are rooted in shared development goals.
The chief minister further stated that Punjab provides a conducive environment for investors and expressed a desire to expand cooperation between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
