LAHORE (Muhammad Ashfaq) - Judicial reforms initiated by Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum have started delivering visible results, with a remarkable increase in case disposal during November 2025.
According to official data, the LHC decided more than 18,000 cases last month, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to ensure timely justice. During the same period, 12,457 new cases were filed, while the number of decided cases exceeded new filings by 5,585, reducing the backlog.
Lawyers and litigants have welcomed the improvement, describing it as a public-friendly and encouraging development. They credited the court’s recent reforms for speeding up case processing and enhancing efficiency.
The impressive performance has been attributed to digital reforms, a modern case management system, and court automation, all of which have collectively strengthened administrative capacity and reduced delays.
Chief Justice Aalia Neelum reiterated that timely justice and transparency remain top priorities for the LHC. She vowed that the judiciary will continue its efforts to provide relief to citizens and ensure that legal proceedings are swift and efficient.
