LAHORE (Dunya News) – Three suspected drug pushers were killed allegedly in the firing of their own accomplices when they were being escorted to recovery operations by CCD police in different areas, Dunya News reported here on Saturday night.
The suspects have been identified as Asghar Ali, Usman and Asif. According to police, Allama Iqbal CCD police were taking the alleged drug peddlers to an area for recovery of weapons and drugs when their accomplices ambushed the police party in order to get the under custody released.
In the attack, the suspects were killed, whereas the attackers escaped. Police started investigation after sending the dead bodies to hospital for medicolegal procedures. A manhunt was launched for the fleeing criminals.
In another incident, Chung police were taking an under custody drug trafficker to an area for a recovery operation when the accomplices of the suspect attacked the police to get him released. As the result of their firing, the alleged peddler was killed. He was identified as Asif. The assailants escaped after the incident. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend the fleeing criminals.
