President, PM discuss formation of new government in AJK

The participants discussed the overall political situation in the country and matters related to the in-house change in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday to discuss the formation of a new government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, the meeting took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr (the Presidency). The meeting was also attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Rana Sanaullah, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Senator Sherry Rehman and Syed Naveed Qamar.

The participants discussed the overall political situation in the country and matters related to the in-house change in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and the future power-sharing formula between coalition partners.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also briefed the President about his recent visit to Saudi Arabia and updated him on various governmental and political affairs. The meeting also discussed Pakistan-Afghanistan tension in detail.
