Tournament organizers had preemptively contacted Bangladesh to replace Pakistan

(Web Desk) - The Asian Hockey Federation has released the schedule for the Asia Cup Hockey Tournament, set to begin on August 29 in India.

Pakistan and Oman have been replaced by Bangladesh and Kazakhstan in the eight-team event, which is divided into two groups.

Host nation India is placed in Pool A alongside China, Japan, and Kazakhstan, while Pool B consists of Malaysia, Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Bangladesh.

The tournament will commence on August 29 with an opening match between Malaysia and Bangladesh, followed by India facing China on the same day. The final, third-position, and fifth/sixth-position matches are scheduled for September 7.

The Indian government had announced that visas would be issued to Pakistani players. However, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) declined to participate due to security concerns.
