AMMAN, JORDAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan's Malaika Noor secured a silver medal at the Asian Open Judo Championship, delivering an impressive performance in the under-52 kg weight category.

The tournament, held in Jordan, saw Malaika advance to the final after defeating athletes from three different countries, showcasing her strength, skill, and determination.

In the final match, she faced a tough opponent from Saudi Arabia. Despite a strong effort, Malaika was unable to claim victory, finishing as the runner-up and earning a silver medal.

Her achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s female judo athletes.

Earlier, Pakistan’s squash talent Ashab Irfan secured a remarkable victory at the Johns Creek Open 2025, a $12,000 PSA Challenger event in USA.

Ashab defeated Malaysia’s Nafeez Kiw in a hard-fought final. Despite losing the first game, Ashab bounced back impressively to win the next three games and claim a 3-1 victory.

The match lasted 40 minutes, showcasing Ashab’s resilience and skill.

The final scoreline read 8-11, 11-2, 11-2, 11-6 in favor of the Pakistani player, who showed dominance after the initial setback.

This triumph marks Ashab Irfan’s third PSA title of the year, underlining his consistent form on the international squash circuit.
