CM Gandapur pledges to restore every home damaged in floods

He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting flood victims

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that all destroyed homes will be rebuilt after the flood.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Sunday, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting flood victims.

He added that residents from flood-affected areas will be relocated to safer locations.

The chief minister said that the prime minister and federal ministers have contacted him over the phone and offered assistance, adding, “We fully expect the federation to play its part.”

Addressing the issue of encroachments, the CM stated that the problem has existed for years and warned that no leniency will be shown to anyone involved.

“A model anti-encroachment operation was conducted in Dera Ismail Khan, and we will replicate the same across the province,” he said.

Gandapur urged citizens to refrain from illegal land grabs and cooperate with the government.

He added that Buner district suffered the most damage due to the recent floods.

He said that the provincial government has the ample resources to rescue the affected people.

Gandapur said that PTI’s MNAs and MPAs are visiting the affected areas to help the people.

He also announced that the KP will acquire modern technology to monitor cloudbursts and enhance early warning systems.

“The military is also assisting us and has provided two additional helicopters to support rescue efforts,” CM said.
