ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar said that the victory in the “Marka-e-Haq” and the nationwide Independence Day celebrations are a clear message to India.
Speaking to the media, Tarar stated that the triumph had doubled the joy of Independence Day. “With the grace of Allah, the enemy has been defeated in the Marka-e-Haq. The nation is celebrating not only Independence Day but also this victory,” he said.
He added that from children to the elderly, citizens holding green flags are pouring into the streets, celebrating with their families under the shadow of the national flag in front of Parliament House and other landmark buildings.
“At this moment, we are all Pakistanis, celebrating together. This celebration sends a strong message to India that living nations know how to protect their independence and cherish victory,” Tarar remarked, announcing that spectacular fireworks would be broadcast live from Islamabad and other cities at midnight.
He further said the festivities include patriotic songs, parades, and flag-hoisting ceremonies across the country tomorrow (Thursday) morning, with a special event at Shakarparian.
Extending his congratulations to the nation, Tarar called the occasion a symbol of Pakistan’s unity, determination, and resilience. He also mentioned that he missed a by-election strategy meeting in Murree as Maryam Aurangzeb was abroad and one of his brothers is contesting from a constituency.
