KARACHI (Dunya News) - Senior Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon on Tuesday said that any misadventure by India will be dealt with very severely from Pakistan, emphasising the country’s confidence in its defence capabilities.
This he stated while addressing a ceremony held in connection with Independence Day celebration in Karachi. Provincial Ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Saeed Ghani also attended the ceremony.
The ceremony began with a beautiful fireworks show which lit up sky with colours and lights, and chants of "Long Live Pakistan" echoed in the air. The "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon said that celebrations are being held all across Pakistan from August 1st to August 14th. The entire nation is celebrating Independence Day, and the Sindh government is celebrating it with special enthusiasm.
He said that events are being organised in every city and village of the province under the supervision various departments of the Sindh government. This year, along with Independence Day, a celebration of the "Marka-e-Haq" is also being held.
He said that the way the Pakistan Armed Forces defeated India in the Marka-e-Haq, and the diplomatic success achieved by PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, will always be remembered.
We are confident about our capabilities, and we have demonstrated this in the recent Marka-e-Haq, which should be evident to everyone. After the defeat India has faced, it will not dare to make any further mischief, he said.
He further stated that a mega event is being organized in connection with Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq celebration on the night of August 13th, and everyone is invited to attend.
