Bajaur jirga meets CM Gandapur, agrees on targeted operation against terrorists

They informed Gandapur about negotiations held over the past seven days

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Over 50 members of Aman Jirga (Peace Council) called on Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and showed their consent to a targeted army operation against terrorists in Bajaur.

According to a member of the jirga, in the meeting, the tribesmen informed the CM about the current situation in Bajaur.

The Aman Jirga also informed Gandapur about the negotiations held over the past seven days.

The jirga also apprised the CM about the deadlock and problems in the way of negotiations. The elders of Bajaur gave the chief minister a plan for establishing peace the area.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that he will discuss the plan proposed by the elders with the federal government.

According to the jirga member, the CM strongly opposed any migration from any area.

Gandapur said that it is the government's responsibility to provide facilities to those who want to migrate of their own free will.
