LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan won a historic war against India, and the world acknowledges this major achievement.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan Business Express at Lahore Railway Station, the prime Minister expressed his satisfaction over the improved condition of Pakistan Railways.
“I’m glad to see a refreshing change here,” he said. “The train’s facilities have been upgraded for the common man, not just for the elite.”
He noted that the old ticketing system had been replaced with a modern digital setup, while business-class coaches now feature berths, kitchens, and dining halls.
“We’ve made sure that these luxury services are also available to the average traveler,” he added.
PM Shehbaz said that Pakistan Business Express had been revamped following the European railway model.

He also praised former Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique for his efforts during the PDM government, especially in recovering railway land and upgrading railway stations. “Credit should be given where it’s due,” he said.
Highlighting international relations, the Prime Minister revealed that talks are underway with China on CPEC Phase 2, and ties with the United States are being revived.
He quoted former US President Donald Trump, who claimed that he played a role in stopping the Pakistan-India war. “What could be a bigger diplomatic win for Pakistan,” Shehbaz asked.
Reflecting on the four-day conflict with India, the premier said it was extremely dangerous but Pakistan emerged victorious.
“The nation stood behind us with prayers, and our armed forces bravely stood their ground,” he said. “Our Air Force also showed outstanding courage and skill.”
“I witnessed every moment closely,” Shehbaz added. “As Prime Minister, I remained in consultation with Pakistan’s military leadership, including the field marshal. Some people doubted Pakistan’s strength, but after this war, that mindset has been shattered.”
He concluded by saying that Pakistan’s military performance in the war had earned global recognition, and the victory stood as a proud moment in the country’s history.
