KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan is now determined to defeat India on the economic front as well.
Speaking to the media at the Karachi Press Club, Iqbal stated that Pakistan had strongly responded to Indian aggression and achieved a historic victory in the "battle of truth" against India.
He emphasised that the country would now move towards economic dominance over India, adding that Independence Day will be celebrated with full patriotic fervour. He described “Uraan-e-Pakistan” as a comprehensive development plan aimed at national progress.

The minister highlighted that global financial institutions are recognising improvements in Pakistan’s economy. Due to sound government policies, inflation has significantly decreased and remittances have seen a record increase, he noted.
Ahsan Iqbal further said that the Pakistan Stock Exchange has reached a historic high, but stressed that sustainable development requires political stability and policy continuity. He concluded by saying that India’s dream of regional dominance has been shattered.
