Punjab boards announce matric results 2025

The Lahore board's pass percentage stood at 65.32 percent

LAHORE (Dunya News) – All education boards across Punjab have announced the matric results for first annual examinations 2025.

Data shared by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore showed that the pass percentage remained at 65.32 percent. A total of 254,012 students appeared in the exams, out of which 165,912 candidates passed.

From the Lahore Board, Haram Fatima secured the overall first position by scoring 1193 marks, while Noor-ul-Huda and Haji Abu Zar Tanveer shared the second position with 1188 marks, and Muhammad Ali stood third with 1187 marks.

Multan

A total of 125,002 students appeared in the exams conducted by the Multan Board. Out of total, 91,289 students were declared successful.

Gujranwala

In addition, the Gujranwala board also announced the results of the first annual examinations 2025.

According to the Gujranwala Board, a total of 225,071 candidates appeared in the examinations, out of which 158,863 candidates passed. The pass percentage stood at 70.58%. In the Gujranwala matric exams, a new record was set as 19 students secured the top three positions collectively. Among the 19 positions, 12 were secured by female students, while 7 positions were taken by male students.

According to the Controller of Examinations, Gujranwala, Shafayat Rasool, Alisha Zaib, and Fatima Shiraz jointly secured the first position by obtaining 1187 out of 1200 marks. Muhammad Moheed and Muhammad Abdullah secured the second position with 1186 marks, while five candidates clinched the third position with 1185 marks.

Bahawalpur

The Bahawalpur board said out of 90,493 candidates, 62,860 cleared the annual exams, with a pass percentage of 69.46%.

Tayyaba Ameen from Chishtian secured the first position with 1185 marks, Abdullah Rasheed from Haroonabad secured the second position with 1182 marks, and Aliza Liaqat from Chishtian secured the third position with 1181 marks.
