PESHAWAR (Zeeshan Yousafzai) – In the past four and a half years, 79 suicide attacks took place across the country, resulting in 690 deaths and over 1,300 injuries.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed the highest number of attacks with 54, followed by Balochistan with 19, Sindh with four, and Punjab with just one.

In the first six months of 2025, there were 13 suicide attacks, killing 103 people and injuring 230.

In 2024, 17 suicide bombings occurred, leaving 139 dead and 134 injured. Twenty nine attacks in the year 2023 claimed 329 lives and injured 582 people. In the preceding year, there were 15 attacks, resulting in 101 deaths and 290 injuries.

The fewest attacks occurred in 2021 – only four – in which 15 people were killed and 41 injured.
