Where does Pakistan rank in the list of most powerful passports?

Singapore’s passport is once again named the most powerful one

(Web Desk) – The world’s most powerful passport belongs to Singapore, while Pakistan ranks fourth among the weakest passports, according to the latest report by Henley & Partners.

In the list released for July to December 2025, Singapore’s passport is once again named the most powerful, allowing visa-free travel to 193 countries.

The second spot is jointly held by two Asian countries, Japan and South Korea, whose passport holders can travel visa-free to 190 countries.

The third place is shared by six countries – Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain – which passports offer visa-free access to 189 countries.

Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden share the fourth position, with visa-free access to 188 countries.

Greece, New Zealand, and Switzerland hold the fifth spot, allowing visa-free entry to 187 countries.

This ranking focuses on ease of travel, with the US passport now ranked 10th, having lost its former status as the world’s most powerful passport.

According to the company, the US is on the verge of dropping out of the top 10 for the first time in the index’s 20-year history.

The UAE passport has made the biggest jump in the past decade, climbing 34 places to now hold the 8th position. China also improved by 34 places over the last 10 years and currently ranks 60th.

On the other end, Pakistan is ranked as the fourth weakest passport in the world, tied with Somalia and Yemen at 96th place, allowing visa-free entry to only 32 countries.

Below Pakistan are Iraq (97th), Syria (98th), and Afghanistan (99th). Above Pakistan are Nepal and Libya (95th), Palestine, Eritrea, and Bangladesh (94th), North Korea (93rd), Sudan (92nd), and Sri Lanka and Iran (91st).
