Authorities and residents are urged to be on their toes and not take the weather lightly

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted another spell of heavy rainfall across the country, warning that rain, wind, and thunderstorms may batter several regions between July 21 and 25.

According to the Met Office, moist winds from the Arabian Sea are expected to enter Sindh and upper parts of the country, while western winds will also blow into northern regions starting July 21.

From July 18 to 20, scattered rains, including heavy downpours in some areas, are likely to hit most districts of Sindh. Between July 19 and 22, heavy rainfall is expected in many districts of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, from July 21 to 25, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The weather is expected to stay rough in Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan as well, with possible downpours, strong winds, and local flooding from July 20 to 25.

The PMD also warned of landslides in hilly areas including Murree, Galiyat, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. There are fears of flash floods in streams and rivers of Murree, Galiyat, KP, and Rawalpindi-Islamabad during this period.
