LAHORE (Dunya News) - The issue of exorbitant fees charged by National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra) to seek the succession certificate echoed in Punjab Assembly on Monday.
The issue was raised by treasury member MPA Amjad Ali Javed.
“It is sheer injustice to charge Rs20,000 for the issuance of succession certificate by Nadra,” said the lawmaker.
He also criticised the Nadra for charging Rs10,000 for decline certificate.

He urged the law minister to make amendment in this regard to facilitate the masses.
“An amendment should be made to give the power to the civil court as well to issue the said certificates,” he added.
MPA Samiullah Khan asked his fellow colleague to move the adjournment motion on the subject in the house.
