ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Monday lauded the nomination of Justice Aminuddin Khan as head of the constitutional bench.
SCBA President Mian Rauf Atta said that the lawyers’ fraternity had full trust on all the seven nominated judges for the constitutional bench.
He said that the nomination of Justice Aminuddin Khan was a good decision.
“The number of pending cases would be decreased significantly after the formation of constitutional bench,” said the SCBA president.
He also lauded the initiatives of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi regarding the management of cases in the apex court.
Earlier, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan had nominated Justice Aminuddin Khan as head of the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court.

The Judicial Commission meeting was chaired by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, where Justice Aminuddin Khan was appointed as the head of constitutional bench by a majority of 7-5 members.
A seven-member constitutional bench was formed for 60 days.
For the constitutional bench, Justice Aminuddin and Justice Ayesha Malik were taken from Punjab, while Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi were selected from Sindh.
Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan were included from Balochistan, while Justice Musarrat Hilali was included from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
