PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Awami National Party (ANP) former senator Zahid Khan has bade adieu to the party, Dunya News reported here on Saturday.
The senior Awami National Party leader had not been taking part in the party’s political activities for many months. Now he has decided to leave the party.
According to reliable sources, the former senator will announce joining the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) on Sunday (today) in the presence of Federal Minister Amir Muqam.
Zahid Khan was twice elected as senator on the ANP ticket. He had been serving as ANP central spokesman for more than 30 years.
The sources said Zahid Khan decided to part ways with the ANP after he was ignored by the party leadership.
