ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Tuesday that the government was working very hard to strengthen the economy.
Speaking at the National Youth Summit in Islamabad where foreign dignitaries were also invited, the federal minister said the youth of Pakistan was very talented and full of potential, adding that the government was well aware of the demands of young people and was taking necessary steps to empower them.
“Allama Iqbal’s dream was to have an independent state for the Muslims of India. Iqbal’s dream was fulfilled by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by having the young people to his side,” he added.
Underscoring the need to take decisive steps to fight climate change, Tarar said Pakistan had faced huge losses in floods, adding that the government was taking measures to mitigate the impact caused by deteriorating climate.
During his speech, he also criticised Israel for genocide of the Palestinians, adding that Pakistan government had given scholarships to 200 Palestinian students to study here. He urged the United Nations (UN) to play its role in stopping the genocide in Gaza.
