ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – On the completion of 77 years of illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir region, National Assembly (NA) on Friday, adopted the resolution of 'Black Day' unanimously.
The resolution was presented by the minister of Kashmir Affair Engineer Amir Muqam.
It was said in the resolution that on Oct 27, 1948 Indian Armed forces occupied the land of Kashmir, against this occupation Oct 27 is commemorated as the Black Day.
"This House stands in solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on the completion of 77 years of Indian armed occupation," the text of resolution declares.
The resolution also reiterated the continued political, moral and diplomatic support of Kashmir cause.
The Lower House also condemned the imprisonment of thousands of Kashmiri political activists and the arrest of central leaders and paid tribute to the courage of Kashmiris.
It was demanded in the resolution that the issue of Kashmir must be resolved as per UN resolutions.
