KARACHI (Dunya News) – Four women were found slain in a house here on Friday night, Dunya News reported.
Family head Muhammad Farooq of Lee Market told police the murdered women included his wife, daughter, niece and a daughter-in-law.
He said the family had no enmity, neither had suspicion on anybody. Police have started investigation after shifting the dead bodies to hospital.
He told police when he came home after work, he found the house locked from inside, adding he knocked at the door repeatedly, but no response came.
“Then my son came after work, he managed to open the door. When entered the house, we found the women murdered. Their throats were slashed with a sharp-edged weapon,” he told police.
ROBBER INJURED, HELD AFTER ‘ENCOUNTER’
Police on Friday night claimed to have arrested a suspected robber after an ‘encounter’, Dunya News reported.
On information about the presence of robbers in Korangi area, police conducted a raid. On seeing police, the robbers opened fire on police. Police retaliated to their fire. As a result, a robber was injured and later arrested. His accomplice escaped.
Police were raiding to arrest him. Arms, bikes and cash were seized from the inured robber. He was admitted to hospital. Further investigation was underway.
