MULTAN (Dunya News) - Three people died and six suffered injuries as roof of a house caved in after an explosion of fireworks here on Friday night, Dunya News reported.
According to police, some people in the house situated in Delhi Gate area were preparing fireworks when a blast occurred, causing the collapse of upper part of the house, which claimed lives of three people, besides injuring six others.
Rescue and police were called to the site, who started rescue work after shifting the dead and the injured to hospital.
The condition of the two injured was stated to be critical. Senior police officers were looking into the matter, with Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar who took notice of the incident.
The IG sought a report from Multan RPO on the incident; Multan CPO and other police officers were monitoring the rescue operation. Further investigation underway.
