ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Opposition and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader has claimed that the incumbent government had not required number of votes for constitutional amendment and PTI senators were being bribed for the said purpose.
Before joining Parliament’s Special Committee session, Omar Ayub made shocking revelations to journalists, saying, PTI leaders were being offered one billion for vote on the constitutional amendment.
Opposition leader stressed that “Committee doesn’t mandated for amendment in the constitution. The PTI is opposing the amendment.”
He also alleged that homes of PTI leaders and workers including his were being raided.
Omar Ayub stated that Zain Qureshi’s wife was abducted near the house of minister of interior and Muqdad Ali Khan was also missing.
Expressing his party’s stance on constitutional amendment, Barrister Gohar said the PTI had informed the ruling coalition that it would present its draft after consulting PTI Founder Imran Khan.
PPP leader Khursheed Shah berated PTI leaders, Omar Ayub and Barrister Gohar, saying they didn't have mandate and PTI never put draft despite being asked again and again.

A significant breakthrough has occurred regarding the 26th Constitutional Amendment, as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) have backed away from their stance proposing the establishment of constitutional courts.
According to sources, a special parliamentary committee meeting reached an agreement among government coalition parties and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) on the formation of a constitutional bench.
Parliamentary sources revealed that the government and JUI have decided to consult with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on a joint draft, which Maulana Fazlur Rehman will share with PTI leadership.
However, JUI-F chief claimed that the three main political parties – PML-N, JUI-F and PPP- have agreed on judicial reforms and are nearing a consensus on other points of the constitutional amendment package, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday night.
