Over 200 rioters booked in fabricated social media news case

Students and rioters vandalised property, setting six government motorcycles on fire

LAHORE (Dunya News) - In response to a news related to a private college student, Lahore police have registered a case against 200 to 250 unidentified miscreants. 

The case was filed at the Harbanspura police station under the sections 324, 353, 186, 291, 290, 436, 147, 149, and 382 of the Pakistan Penal Code. 

According to the FIR, students and rioters in Lahore vandalised property, setting six government motorcycles on fire and attacking police with petrol bombs. 

The report stated that petrol bombs were thrown into the police station's parking area, resulting in the destruction of six employees' motorcycles. 

Police have also detained 24 suspects. 

Earlier, a case related to a fabricated video involving the private college student was registered by the Defence A police.
