LAHORE (Dunya News) - A case has been registered in the Defence A police station over the baseless video which was falsely linked to the unfounded rape news at a private college.
According to the FIR, the news of assault on a girl went viral on the social media. When the parents of the girl were contacted, they denied the incident.
Different interviews were conducted with students for finding any authenticity in the allegations.
They told police that the girl had a fall at her home on Oct 2 as a result of which she suffered serious injuries.
She was treated at the Ittefaq Hospital till Oct 11. Also, she was advised 15-day bed rest.
They said the girl did not go to college during this time. The social media campaign damaged the family's reputation, they added.
The FIA’s Cyber Crime Cell has, in the meantime, constituted a seven-member committee to investigate the incident.
