PHC fixes plea against poor law and order in KP for hearing

The deteriorating conditions led to the transfer of courts from Tank and Waziristan to DI Khan

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has scheduled a hearing about a petition filed against the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Peshawar Bar Council (PBC) summitted the petition, naming the provincial government, the Inspector General of Police of KP, the chief secretary. and the Ministry of Interior as respondents.

The petition highlights the worsening security situation, especially in the southern districts, where recent attack on judicial officers have occurred.

The deteriorating conditions led to the transfer of courts from Tank and Waziristan to Dera Ismail Khan.

The petitioner further claimed that unprecedented attack on civilian in Kurram were frequent, while the provincial government failed to take effective measures. The court has set October 17, as the hearing date for the petition.
