SHARJAH (Web Desk) - England secured a victory over Bangladesh by 21 runs in the sixth match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Chasing a target of 119 runs, the Bangladesh team managed to score only 97 runs, losing seven wickets in their 20 overs.
Earlier, in a match played between Group B teams in Sharjah, England won the toss and opted to bat first.
They scored 118 runs, losing seven wickets, with Danni Wyatt Hodges being the standout performer, scoring 41 runs.
Bangladesh's highest scorers were Subhana Mostary with 44 runs and Nigar Sultana with 15 runs.
It’s worth noting that Bangladesh had previously defeated Scotland by 16 runs in their opening match, while this was England's first game in the tournament.
