LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police have arrested a constable for allegedly killing his colleague lady constable on refusal of marriage, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.
Murder accused Muhammad Farooq during investigation confessed to murdering lady constable Soman for refusing to marry him.
Police have registered a case against the murderer and seized the murder weapon. Further investigation was underway.
YOUTH SHOT DEAD
In Baldia – 9, a youngster was shot dead by unidentified armed men. According to Itehad Town SHO Muhammad Ayaz, the deceased identified as Asif was going on a motorcycle with his friend, when he was targetted.
Police suspected that the youth was murdered on personal vendetta. Further investigation was underway.
ROBBER INJURED IN ENCOUNTER
In Chiniot, a robber was injured by the firing of his own accomplices. The under custody robber identified as Qamar was being taken by Chenab Nagar police for recovery when his accomplices opened fire on police party and injured their own accomplice.
The injured suspected robber was involved in killing of a woman during robbery.
THREE BANDITS HELD AFTER ‘ENCOUNTER’
In Karachi, three alleged bandits were injured in an encounter with police. Police were informed about the presence of three robbers in an area.
When law enforcers reached their hiding place, the outlaws opened fire on police party. Police retaliated to the gunshots and injured them, who were later arrested. Three pistols, bikes and valuables were seized from them.
