KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stressed the need for establishing a constitutional court to ensure timely justice.
Speaking to the Sindh High Court Bar Association, he mentioned that equal representation from all provinces would be a key feature of such court.
Bilawal expressed gratitude to the Sindh High Court Bar, recalling his family’s long-standing connection with the bar, stretching back three generations.
He highlighted the PPP’s role in drafting the 1973 Constitution, which, according to him laid the foundation for Pakistan’s strength today.
He criticised the judiciary's history of enabling dictators. Bilawal highlighted the judicial murder of Banazir Bhutto and pointed to access of wrongful imprisonment, such as the recentexoneration of two brothers after decades of being falsely convicted of murder.
He concluded by reaffirming the PPP’s commitment to constitutional reforms, including the 18th amendment and judicial reforms, aiming to ensure justice for all.
