LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police have arrested a sub-inspector, a former constable and a woman in drug trafficking case and recovered 70-kg drugs from them, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.
According to an FIR, accused sub-inspector Sajawal had arrested a drug peddler with 70-kg drugs, but he released him after taking Rs800,000 bribe from him.
The SI with the abetment of former constable Tafakhar and woman Rukhsana attempted to sell the seized drugs, but a team of Narcotics Investigation Unit South arrested former constable Tafakhar with the drugs.
During the investigation, he told the investigators that SI Sajawal contacted him to sell the drugs on Rs50,000-per kg commission.
Police have registered a case after recovering drugs from the accused. Further investigation was under way.
