Election tribunal to hear pleas against rigging in Islamabad constituencies today

PML-N leaders Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Raja Khurram Nawaz have been summoned

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the pleas against election rigging in some constituencies of Islamabad.

IHC Judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri-led electional tribunal will conduct the hearing on pleas of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shoaib Shaheen, Aamir Mughal and Ali Bukhari.

It must be remembered that PTI leaders Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari had filed petitions against alleged rigging in the constituencies of the capital, which were accepted by the IHC for hearing.

For hearing against alleged electoral rigging in NA-47 and NA-48, Justice Jahangiri had summoned the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders Raja Khurram Nawaz and Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry alongside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
