KARACHI (Dunya News) – The teachers protesting outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) were baton-charged by the police when they attempted to march to the Sindh Assembly.
The teachers had been protesting and holding a sit-in for several days, seeking permanent employment. They were appointed by the Federal Education Department in Sindh.
Earlier, the department had assured the teachers that all of them would be given permanent positions. However, the department failed to fulfill this commitment.

Previously, the Education Department had decided to make all the teachers permanent after the final results of their tests.
