Lady doctor robbed of valuables at clinic in Faisalabad

The Pakistan Medical Association, Faisalabad chapter, condemns the incident

FAISALABAD (Web Desk) - The Batala Colony police have registered a case against two robbers who looted valuables from a lady doctor inside her clinic on Sattiana Road. 

Submitting an application to police, Dr Zikarya Anwar, a medical specialist at the Allied Hospital, said his wife serves as a skin specialist at a private clinic situated on Sattiana Road.

He said two masked men entered his wife’s clinic while posing as patients. 

When they entered the clinic, the robbers held her up and looted her gold ornaments, cash and mobile phone before fleeing from the spot. 

Police have registered a case of robbery under section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) with no arrest. 

Faisalabad doctors condemn robbery 

The Pakistan Medical Association, Faisalabad chapter, condemned the incident whic, it said, was a result of failure on the part of police. 

Dr Muhammad Irfan, the PMA secretary, said the association held a meeting following the incident and demanded the police officials to net the culprits immediately. Otherwise, the doctors fraternity would go for agitation, he added. 

He said due to police inefficiency the robbers are looting people even in broad daylight. It's an outrageous display of lawlessness, robbers looted valuables from a lady doctor inside her clinic, he added. 

The situation is unacceptable for the doctors community as they feel insecure and are unable to conduct their clinics without fear, he claimed.
