LAHORE (Web Desk) – Police on Saturday claimed to have busted a gang of criminals with the arrest of a woman who tricked innocent girls into prostitution with a promise of giving them jobs.
Three girls, who had been forced into prostitution by the criminals, were rescued by the police from Faisalabad.
According to DIG Organized Crime, the recovered girls went missing from different areas of Lahore.
A 16-year-old girl, who was abducted from Nawankot Lahore, was rescued from Faisalabad.
A woman named Mumtaz was arrested who allegedly used to trap the girls by luring them with jobs and pushed them into prostitution.
Police said her other accomplices will be arrested soon as raids were being conducted to track down the criminals.
She sold the girls in Faisalabad for money and dispatched them to Islamabad.
The gang used to blackmail these girls into prostitution by creating fake marriage certificates and stamp papers and collect 70,000 per month.
