LAHORE (Dunya News) - Heavy rain, accompanied by gusty winds, in Lahore in the wee hours of Monday turned the weather pleasant and brought the mercury considerably down as the pre-monsoon spell begins in the country, Dunya News reported.
Downpour in several areas inundated roads and streets in the provincial capital and motorists faced immense difficulties while trying to carry on with their routines on Monday morning.
Rain caused disruption of electricity in parts of Lahore as dozens of feeders of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) tripped.
Rain was also reported from other cities including Muridke, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Safdarabad, Jaranwala, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Kamoki, Narowal, Okara, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Renala Khurd, Kot Addu, Bhalwal, Kabirwala, Hafizabad, Minchanabad, Shorkot and Pakpattan.
