Agri-education: Shehbaz Sharif decides to send 1,000 students to China

PM also requested Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University to open campus in Pakistan

BEIJING (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif decided to send 1,000 students to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base (YADB) in China for advanced training in agriculture.

PM Sharif instructed the Pakistani ambassador in China and the relevant authorities to complete the project with the Chinese authorities. He also requested the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University to open a campus in Pakistan, assuring that the government of Pakistan would provide all necessary support in this regard.

During his visit to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in Xi'an, Prime Minister Sharif visited various parts of the base, including the Pakistani Pavilion, where he was shown Pakistani products.

It was told that 26 countries cooperate in agricultural research at the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base. Pakistan was the first country to start cooperation with the base.

Prime Minister said that Pakistan is an agricultural country, and the government is striving to innovate in agriculture to increase production per acre. Increasing domestic exports of Pakistani agricultural products and their processing is the government's top priority.

Prime Minister Sharif was also given a tour of the modern plant production factory, where he observed a practical demonstration of various stages of vertical farming methods.
