No compromise over share of KP, says CM Gandapur

KP CM urged the centre to release funds immediately

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that he will not compromise on the share of his province.

Speaking to media after attending the 10th meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) held in Islamabad, he urged the centre to release the funds of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa immediately.

“We’ll welcome the investment coming through SIFC. We can increase our revenue by introducing some reforms in the mining,” said Gandapur.

The chief minister added that he opposed imposing tax on Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA) during the meeting of SIFC.

He added that he is ready to go to any extent to get relief for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier, the SIFC meeting was chaired by Prime Minsiter Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership was also present on the occasion.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Power Minister Awais Leghari attended the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Law and Justice Minister Nazir Tarar and other high officials.
