LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated on Thursday that addressing the issues of the people was a priority for her government and necessary resources would be allocated for this purpose.
The chief minister expressed these views during a meeting with MPAs from various cities of Punjab.
During the meeting, Maryam was briefed by the MPAs about the issues in their respective constituencies and the public necessities.
Maryam said that they were establishing a sustainable system for cleanliness and sanitation in streets, cities, and villages.
She said solid waste management systems were being introduced through public-private partnerships in divisional headquarters and major cities.
She expressed her desire to see every street and locality clean, and announced that work on this initiative would commence soon.
CM Maryam reiterated that addressing the people's issues remained a top priority and necessary resources would be provided for this purpose.
Maryam mentioned that the provision and improvement of water supply were top priority projects in Sahiwal, which were being expedited.
For Multan, Jahanian, Vehari and other cities, she added, the construction of the Multan-Vehari Expressway would be initiated.
She also stated that facilities for cath lab and cardiology would be provided at hospitals in Sialkot. Those who met the chief minister included MNA Chaudhry Afzal Nazir from Jahanian, MPA Qasim Nadeem from Sahiwal, MPA Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui from Lahore, and MPA Khurram Khan Virk from Sialkot.
Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Senator Pervaiz Rashid were also present on the occasion.
