ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan says he will remain loyal to his party and the PTI founder come what may.
Anti-terrorism court judge Tahir Abbas Sipra on Saturday heard the pre-arrest bail pleas of PTI leaders in the case of violence and vandalism at the Judicial Complex.
PTI leaders Omar Ayub Khan, Omer Sultan, Amir Mughal, Faisal Javed, Shibli Faraz and Ali Nawaz Awan appeared in court. On inquiry about Ali Amin Gandapur by the court, lawyer Naeem Panjotha said he was busy in other courts.
Judge Abbas Sipra said both Gandapur and his lawyer were not there in the court to plead the case and advance arguments. The PTI lawyer said all of them were representing him (Gandapur) and they would give arguments in the case.
Omar Ayub said Babar Awan was not feeling well and he (Ayub) would argue in court on his behalf.
Addressing Omar Ayub, Judge Sipra said, "To me, you are looking more ill than Awan." Ayub reacted to Judge Sipra's remark by saying he would remain loyal to his party and the PTI founder come what may.
The court deferred hearing of the bail pleas of PTI leaders till May 6.
Later speaking to media, Ayub said bogus cases were framed against the PTI leaders across Pakistan.
He said it was the same Judicial Complex where the PTI founder wanted to come and face courts, but hurdles were created so that he could not reach the complex. It was a planned conspiracy, he added.
The CCTV footage was removed, he said, and added the footage could make everything crystal clear.
