(Reuters) - Consumer-focused startup Inflection AI's chatbot Pi now has more than 1 million daily active users and the Microsoft-backed firm has upgraded the artificial intelligence powering the tool, it said on Thursday.
The high-profile startup has launched Inflection-2.5 to compete with rival models including OpenAI's GPT-4 and Google's Gemini.
The upgraded model is available to Pi's users from Thursday on pi.ai, iOS, Android, and the company's new desktop app.
Pi, which was launched last May, uses generative AI technology to interact with users through conversations, in which people can ask questions and share interests.
