ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will hold intra-party elections on March 3.
The PTI has issued the schedule for intra-party elections. According to the plan, nomination papers must be submitted by Feb 24.

Scrutiny will take place on Feb 25, and the final decision on nomination papers will be taken on Feb 27 for the intra-party elections.
The polling for party intra-party elections will be conducted on March 3 at the provincial secretariats of all four provinces along with the central office.

PTI held its first intra-party elections on December 2,which elected the Barrister Gohar Ali Khan as the party chairman.
However, PTI founding leader Akbar S Babar filed a petition against the intra-party elections, leading to a subsequent declaration by the Election Commissionof Pakistan (ECP) that declared the elections unconstituional as well as null and void.
The Peshawar High Court, in a series of rulings, suspended and reinstated the ECP’s decision regarding the withdrawal of PTI's electoral symbol, the 'bat.' The Supreme Court barred the party with its electoral symbol ‘bat’ by upholding the ECP decision.
