ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A crucial meeting is set to take place this evening between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, Dunya News has reported.
According to sources, the PTI will formally extend an invitation to the JUI-F chief to form a coalition government together during the meeting which is scheduled to be held at Maulana Fazl’s residence.
Sources have indicated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman invited the PTI team to his residence for discussions after they established telephonic contact with him.
The five-member delegation from the PTI will be led by Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Asad Qaiser.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of JUI-F, has already hinted at the possibility of collaborating with the PTI.
He has chosen not to align with his former allies from the PDM, citing allegations of election rigging.
