ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday allotted the election symbol to Awami National Party (ANP).
According to details, ANP was allotted its old election symbol ‘lantern’ by the ECP.
The ECP also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on ANP while directing the party to hold its intraparty elections by May 10 this year.
Earlier, the ECP had reserved its verdict regarding the intraparty polls of ANP on December 21 which it announced on Saturday.

It merits mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is also fighting a legal battle in the courts to get back its election symbol of bat.
